Body removed and underframe adapted for use by London Underground for use as EMU adapter / barrier wagon. Underframe (with wheels) rescued from Micheldever 2007, but underframe cut up - only wheelsets remain. At private site in Eastleigh by 05/09 - intended to be used in restoration of the body of GWR 222 (qv). 01/15: wheelsets seen here (see photo) but no sign of GWR body. 04/24: wheelsets no longer in situ - possibly re-united with body. Further information on this vehicle would be welcomed. |
